The Pivot Method
Redefine. Optimise. Transform. A consistent, four step approach that sits behind every engagement, so you always know where you are and what happens next.
Most transformation programmes fail quietly, not because the technology was wrong, but because there was no clear method holding the project together. The Pivot Method is the structure I bring to every engagement, whatever the size of your organisation or the scope of the work.
Discover
Understand your business, your people and your challenges. Before I recommend anything, I spend time with your leadership team, your HR function and the managers and employees who will actually use whatever we build. This stage uncovers the real problem, which is not always the one on the surface.
Define
Create a clear strategy, business case and roadmap. This is where ambition turns into a plan your board can approve with confidence, complete with costs, timelines, risks and the outcomes you should expect to see.
Deliver
Implement with governance and confidence. After procurement, I can populate data, establish the administrative setup and configure the system from the ground up against your agreed requirements. I also manage project plans, vendor relationships and data migration with proper rigour, keeping delivery on time, on budget and on scope while your team continues with business as usual.
Embed
Drive adoption, training and lasting change. A system going live is the middle of the story, not the end. This stage is about training, communication and support that make sure the change actually sticks once I am no longer in the room every day.
Used consistently across your proposals, workshops and sales conversations, the Pivot Method makes your consultancy or your project feel larger and more established from day one.
About me
I am Courtney Thompson-Ayerst, a CIPD qualified HR professional with hands on experience across HR leadership, HCM vendor side implementation and independent consultancy. The Pivot Method exists because I have watched transformation succeed and fail from every seat at the table, and I built the framework around what actually works.
I do not disappear once a contract is signed. I work alongside your leadership team, translate between the boardroom and the breakroom, and stay close to delivery until your people are genuinely getting value from the change, not just tolerating it.

Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a proposal. Book a discovery call and we will map the method against where you are today.
